Announcing the Fall Joyography Workshop!

Well, the workshop was last weekend and we had an AMAZING time - pictures to come soon.  We were really impressed with the group and how quickly they caught on and how much they improved in one day.  We knew it would work!  You can see their pictures from the day at the Joyography Facebook Page as well as their thoughts.

AND we have been overwhelmed by questions about when the next workshop is going to be so we are ready to announce it!  Mark your calendars and reserve a spot for the September 18th Joyography Workshop.  We're really excited about it and specific details will be announced in the coming weeks.  See you there!

Testimonial Time...

Some of you may be wondering how much a one day workshop will change the way you shoot and your abilities  so I asked an old client turned photographer about it.  Just two years she started getting interested in photography and came to me for help.  And now, she is AMAZING!  Just check out her website...

WOW! If I only knew when I started photography how much a single workshop could change my images, attitude, and business! Learning to control every aspect of my camera and getting to courage to switch to 100% Manual mode made a huge difference in how my images look. I finally got that professional, crisp, clean look that I've always wanted yet never knew how to get!

Megan is such an amazing mentor. She knows so much about the technical aspects and "decodes" them for the rest of us so it makes perfect sense. I love her positive attitude and tell-it-like-it-is personality! It is so refreshing to know someone who is not only passionate about their art but passionate about sharing how she does it!

Tyan just had her first baby - the cutest little boy and has been able to document it so beautifully.  Don't you think?

The Winner is Chosen!!!

OH MY GOODNESS!  That was some feirce competition!  We counted, recounted, and counted again and again.  Finally we came up with a better, more foolproof system and we feel confident we have finally found the winner.  It wouldn't have been a big deal except that the finalists were so close!  In the end the winner was...

JAMIE SMITH

and

JENNIFER HATCH

IT WAS A TIE!!!  Congrats Jamie & Jennifer - we're excited to see you there!  And thanks so much for everyone else who participated!

Joyography Workshop Scholarship!!!

Alright, the time has come to give away one scholarship to a deserving gal or guy.  In order to be eligible to receive the scholarship you need to post on your blog why you think you deserve or need to be at the workshop.  Include a recent picture you've taken as well as a link to our workshop blog.  Then come back to this post and post a comment linking us back to your blog.  Three qualifiers will be chosen by Marisa & I on January 31st and then we will open the voting among our readers(or your friends and family) to decide who will win the scholarship from those three.  Sound good?  Well, get to it!

p.s.  The voting will start on January 31st after we have chosen the three finalists from your blog entries!
